lions vs cowboys: Jahmyr Gibbs' three TD runs power Lions over Cowboys Week 14 in the NFL. Absurd. It starts in Detroit. 14 straight wins after a Lions loss. It's the third-longest streak in NFL history. It's a 3-3 game when you look at who that is.
The Packers lost on Thanksgiving to Amar St. Brown who was injured. Didn't practice all week. He was available for his squad.
Big catch there. And then who's there? Jer Gibbs. He's an absolute monster. It's 10 to 3 Lions. Cowboys trail 10-6. Third and 21. Complete pass to Jack Ferguson.
Jack Campbell punches it loose. Brian Branch, who would later be injured in the Detroit game, is on it. So, that's 106. David Montgomery runs through the tacklers
And now he's free and in space. It's 17-6 Detroit. They'll lead 20-9 at halftime. First play of the third quarter. George Pickens' search. The ball goes up in the air.
Derrick Barnes is there for the interception. Detroit is trying to cash in on a turnover and is really hurting it. And he does. Perfect toss to Isaac to Slaw.
The Rockie with the catch. It's 27 to 9 Dallas. The offense is certainly acceptable. We know this double-take, but we're going to work with CDLamb here with the toss.
And then here a few plays later, Prescott is finding Lamb who hits the ground hard. He'll leave the game and never come back. Six grabs and 121 receiving yards.
Later in the drive, Dallas is able to score a touchdown as Javiante Williams, who has gone over 1,000 this season, has had a great year for Dallas.
And the Cowboys are hanging around. Each team will add a field goal. And now here's that double move. Trouble. It works every time. Ryan Flournoy who had a big game, nine catches, 115 yards, and that touchdown. Dallas goes for both of those.
They get it. 30-27. Detroit has to answer here on third and six. Jameson Williams, who had a big game, goes for 29 yards. Monster third-down conversion.
A few plays later, it's Gibbs with burst and power taking it into the end zone and getting the lead back to the 10. Get another Aubrey field goal who had a monster night. He had three 50-plus yard field goals.
Thieman is a weapon. So is this guy again. It's St. Brown. Six catches, 92 yards, couldn't practice because of an ankle injury, but out on the field, it's a big game for the Lions.
And it's pretty easy. Gibbs connects with Barry Sanders. What a man has broken for the most touchdowns in a player's first three seasons. It's 44-30. Dallas needs to fix everything. They need a score, an onside kick, and a score.
Instead, Dak is picked up here by DJReed, who actually rips it out of Florenoi's arms and makes a pretty awesome falling catch.

What they did best tonight was what got them this win in the end comfortably. They had five sacks, but they had countless more pressures from Dak Prescott.
They really made it a point that we're going to come after him and we're going to heat up the offense because it's obvious that we have one of the best offenses in the National Football League.
And offensively, they were moving the ball up and down the field, but they were great in the red zone. When they got down to what we call the mini zone, they capitalized.
That was really the difference in the game. They had four or five in the red zone. Dallas was one of the three. So, you know, when you look at both of them, they just played a complete game on both sides of the ball.
Yeah. And you talk about those five sacks that were a really big problem for them coming into this game and the Ducks are still going to get it
And they do, but that's the football side of things. It looks like they're going to have to get better in the game against Dallas to give them a chance. But the way you're going,
This is a Detroit team that's a lot of fun to watch and in the last two years, they've climbed to a place they haven't been. How do you see the big picture in the NFC?
Are they a long-term threat? I will say, I don't think they're going to win the NFC North. And with them winning the NFC North, that makes them a wild card team. You have to win three road games to get to the Super Bowl.
It's very, very difficult to do that. You're talking about Tom Brady, you know, think about the 2020 Bucks and Aaron Rogers,
like 2010. These are just two teams that took the long hard road to get to that Super Bowl. And as you and I watch games we always chat about all the different topics around us
and I mean it's hard to shake the game right in the air in Philadelphia and just the idea on the road and you look at who you might go to Chicago,
maybe you go to Green Bay and I mean if you feel good you feel good. It's an uphill climb but they have a two-headed monster and a run game
that they can lean on and we saw Montgomery and Gibbs tonight and when we see Gibbs and you're on that You're on a list like Barry Sanders,
who for young guys, you should see number 20 in Honolulu Blue because he was unreal, but so was Gibbs. Whatmost impresses you about his game?
Listen, first of all, it's his speed. You know, we always talk like you can't teach speed. He's got a lot of it. Look,
every time he touches the ball, he can literally go the distance. And the thing that impressed me the most is you're a D what I call a dual-threat running back.
He's one of those guys, three down. He's obviously great at running the ball, but in the passing game, he's like a second receiver. I don't
know how many times he's going to be utilized in the passing game tonight and he was just fooling the guys out there who just watched. So, when you got that kind of dual threat,
Man, that's a big weapon for this offense. And a touchdown in the middle, through contact, that's tough too. Not just a speed guy who doesn't want any part of the contact.
I mean, he can run between the tackles if he needs to. I mean, at this point, you know, your guy Stephanon is going to get his hat in the morning.
I mean, you know, do the stupid thing to the Dallas fans like he likes. They beat, oh, Philadelphia and Kansas City from behind.
They were desperate for it. They have to win and they need a ton of help. I think that's all there is to it but as a playoff team this year, right?
Absolutely. They're going to need, like you said, they're going to need a ton of help. And I think the only way for them to get into the postseason is the only way Ithink
Hopefully Philadelphia will have a complete meltdown and find a way to win the NFC East. Plus, they're going to need help getting into the postseason.
