Inside Scoop newsletter: Trump's economic report card, A full interview

Inside Scoop newsletter: Trump's economic report card, No doubt. God bless the United States of America, Minnesota shining from the sea, Detroit, heart, and now it's time for us to stand up.
And America. God bless the USA, and I'm proud that at least I know who gave me the USA. USA, USA, USA, USA. USA. Well, that's a good crowd. You have a lot of people.
You have a lot of people standing outside tonight. It's freezing. They got here yesterday, like 2 a.m. or something. Well, I'm worried about them. Would anyone like to leave their place?
Let some people in from the cold. You go out for the cold. I don't think so. I just want to say hello, Pennsylvania. And I'm glad to be back in this incredible commonwealth with so many proud, hard-working American patriots.
You're the same. So am I. I'm a proud hard worker. I'm a proud patriot. But you're a proud patriot. Thank you very much.
A wonderful welcome to everyone. You know, we're on the verge of exposing what happened recently when we took office. You see, it's been 10 months, and already we have the largest investment in the history of any country in the world.
Think about it. But let me start by wishing each of you a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, all of that stuff. Remember when I started in 2015,
I gave my first speech, and I said, "We're going to bring Christmas back." Remember, they wanted to get rid of the radical left; they wanted to get rid of the word Christmas.
I said I don't think it's going to work, and we did it, and now everyone is saying Merry Christmas again. But exactly one year ago today, with your help, we saved America.
That's what happened. You saved possibly the most important election victory in the history of our country. Our country was going down. We were the country that was made fun of, the laughing stock of the world.
We won all seven. Thank you, Charlie. He said, "And you saved us." Who are you? Please stand up. Who said that? I love it. Only Pennsylvania can do that.
I know that situation. By the way, did we kick it last election? We did. That means we won three in a row, as you know.
But we won all seven swing states. We won the Electoral College 312 to 226. And by the way, the actual vote was much higher than that. But we wanted to make it too big to rig.
We won the popular vote for the first time in decades by any Republican. And we won 86% of all the counties in America. 2,700 to 525. That's good.
We did it. I didn't. We did it. And now, after just 10 months in office, I'm happy to report that America is winning again. Pennsylvania is thriving again.
And I won't rest until this commonwealth is richer and stronger than ever. Remember when Biden stood up and called you a state? That wasn't nice.
He said, "It's great to be back in this state." Oh, where are we? Where are we? What state? What state is this? This is Pennsylvania. Oh. Oh right.
Now, we're respected again. As a country, we're respected. Since my inauguration, we've created nearly 60,000 new jobs in Pennsylvania,
including 4,000 Pennsylvania manufacturing jobs that Democrats have lost. You're doing better than ever. Under our leadership, more than 40,000 Pennians have been taken off food stamps.
40,000 and working with a great guy, remember David McCormack? He used to go to every rally I had; he knew what was going on. And he's here again, like always.
I can't get rid of that guy. Where is he? He's a little lucky, you know, in Butler, a place called Butler, Pennsylvania. I love Butler, Pennsylvania,
But it's amazing. And we had a great crowd, like 55, 60,000 people. Then I called David. I said, "David, come on up." He was working like hell to get elected. It was a tough race, and very few people could have done what he did.
But I said it right at the beginning of the speech, I said, "David, come on up, come on up, I want this to happen before it happens." And then I looked up.
I said, "You know, David? Just hang in there, I'll see you later." You're so lucky, David. You're so lucky. You don't know. If it hadn't been for you,
I could have made a slightly different shape of air. You know, you were very lucky that day. People don't talk about it, but I remember calling him, and I said, "Just hang in there." Because he was walking a little slow.
I didn't want to take up time. Oh boy, that was a good day for you. What a job he did. He's a really great guy. And his wife, Dina, is amazing. Thank you. Stand up.
He's a lucky guy. Working with Senator David McCormack, we've secured nearly $100 billion in investment commitments in Pennsylvania.
We came here a few months ago. The biggest energy companies in the world did it. We were doing it on a beautiful day, a little warmer than it is outside today,
David, but over a hundred billion dollars, and we saved a great American company. You know, we saved this little group of people, and I saved a little company called U.S. Steel.
And it's hot as a pistol now. And we have the keys to the company. It's always going to be here. It's never moving. They said, "What if it goes to Japan?"
I said, "You can't move the steel mill to Japan. You can move the headquarters, but the steel mill stays here. That's all that matters." And I will tell you that the company is spending billions and billions of dollars
And there was no other comparison. Other companies were interested, but they really are. They call me all the time, telling me they are really excited about it.
And you know they are building a lot of additional plants. Uh, this is going beyond what anyone thought. But we had to save U.S. Steel.
U.S. Steel was one of the biggest companies that was the biggest company in the world years ago. Look at the U.S. deal with you with these big factories.
What I meant is that two years ago, now this tariff has started to fill, it has filled it because people are coming here, other steel companies are now coming to Pennsylvania because they don't want to spend 100% 50% 25% on the tariff. Everyone is coming in is the word amazing.
When you know I said my favorite word, tarifftrue, but then I got a lot of heat from fake news. Look at all of them back there. I took a lot of heat.
I got up early. I said, "My favorite, it's coming out, you know, the tariffs are bringing in billions of dollars." I've just helped our farmers because they're starting to do really well.
But to try and negotiate, some countries played a little sweet game, and oh, we gave them the right amount of tariff money that was nothing compared to the billions, hundreds of billions that we got.
We gave the farmers a little bit of help, billions of dollars, and they're very happy, and they want a level playing field, and now it's happening, and the tariffs are making them rich. You're going to see
That you're going to see what happens in the next couple of years. It feels like a miracle is happening. But we've taken hundreds of billions of dollars. Trillions really. Scott, we have a great Scott boss.
Scott, stand up. And if you add to that all the companies that are building their money right now, building plants in Pennsylvania and many other states, auto plants, AI plants, all kinds of plants,
that we would never have had if we didn't have tariffs. Look where Europe is saying now. I think we have to do what Trump is doing. We have to start putting tariffs.
Because we are getting our asses kicked. And that's true. But Scott, if you really think about it, it's trillions of dollars, not billions of dollars. Right?
So, it's amazing. Smart people understand it. Other people are starting to learn, but smart people really understand it. A year ago, under Sleepy Joe Biden, did you hear about them?
You know, okay, look, the king of Saudi Arabia told me this. He said, "Sir, a year ago, I was in Saudi Arabia, and someone complained that I was traveling abroad.
I went to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, and I brought back four trillion dollars." He said, "He shouldn't be treasonous. He should focus on home."
"What do you think I'm doing? And 250 Boeing planes. I brought back a lot. Then they say he should, you know, stupid people, they say he shouldn't leave our country.
Yeah. Let's sit around and twiddle our thumbs. It's like, oh no, it's like crazy, right? But a year ago, the King of Saudi Arabia said this.
He said, Sir, a year ago, you were a dead country. Dead. They were looking, you know, who's next in line, frankly.
And he's a good guy. And the guitar tycoon said this, the UAE said. Big company, big smart country said. We were a dead country. A year ago, we were dead as doornails. We were going down the tubes. And now we are the hottest country anywhere in the world. No one comes close. USA
And it's because of the election on November 5th, because that's when it started. You see what's happening with the military draft. The draft is the highest we've ever had.
And you know, before November 5th, we couldn't get anybody into the military. We couldn't get the police. We couldn't get firemen. We couldn't get anybody.
And after November 5th, when it started. Right now, we have the highest draft ever. The biggest day of the military draft. It's amazing.
So, it's November 5th, and it's a thing called tariffs again. And I told you I was going to say, you know, because I love to knit. Knit. Do you know what knitting is?
Gohre bing bing bing bing. You always have to come back to the right place, but otherwise, they'll criticize you for straying from the speech. If I, by the way, if I read Fort on the teleprompter
You'd all be asleep right now. But it's true. A year ago and over time, I would say my favorite word is the word tariff. I love it more than any word in the dictionary.
And the fake news said it was terrible. What about God? What about family? What about religion? What about your sons, your daughters? How terrible is that?
So, I moved it back to fifth. I have it on the fifth, and now I'm worried about the fake news. You know, they said, "What about religion.
" They always find. So, you have to tie it up a little bit with the punches. You have to go, you know, boxers, you have to go with the punches.
But it's been amazing what's happened, and it's been amazing. This is the transformation of our country. I have the biggest oil man anywhere in the world. I see him sitting there.
Chris Wright. I was going to put a guy in Doug Burgum. He's great. He's an insider. And I said, Doug, I want you to go into energy.
You're really great. And energy came from North Dakota. Big, big fracking place. Really great job. He was a great governor, I would say, right? Really great and a great man.
He's doing a great job. I said, I want you to get energy, sir. I'll be good. But I'll tell you, there's only one man in the whole world.
There's a man out there who's better than me, better than me. Who is he? A man named Chris Wright. Who is Chris Wright? Give me a break. I've never heard of this guy.
Well, you've never heard of him. He's the biggest one out there. He's the smartest one out there. The biggest oil man in the world. Chris, right? I said, I have to see this guy.
And after about two minutes, I understood exactly what Doug was saying. So I said, "Okay, Doug, you're going to Interior. You're going to work with him because the interesting thing is
That, Interior has all the land that has oil." And he has all the oil drilling expertise. And they said, you know, we're going to do a friendly merger here.
That's great. And that's what we did. And we're drilling more oil right now than we've ever done before. Prices are down. We only had four states.
It was just reported that four states were $1.99 a gallon. Chris, so I just want to introduce Chris Wright. Stand up, Chris, who would think you'd see him?
He's a good-looking guy and all that. Who would think he's rated? I mean, he's the most talented guy in oil. He can put his nose to the ground and tell you.
Whether there is oil or not. Other people have to spend billions of dollars on machinery and equipment, but it doesn't work. So I want to thank you. You're doing a great job.
And is it true that we are energy overall right now, not just oil and gas? We are more energy involved right now, and we have more energy than ever before.
Is that right? Yes. Not even close. And I have no higher priority than making America affordable again. That's what we're going to do. And again, they raised prices.
And we're bringing them down. It's a simple message. If I had a message tonight, you know, it's being broadcast to the whole world. It's crazy
Because I haven't given a speech in a while. You know, when you win, when you win, you say, "Oh, I can relax now."
So, uh, Susie Trump, do you know Susie Trump? Sometimes known as Susie Wild. Susie Trump, she's the great chief of staff,
They don't use the word chief of staff anymore because, uh, the Indians got so upset, but now the Indians actually want to use her name, which is true.
They never wanted it used, but the chief of staff, and she's fantastic, she said, "Uh, we've got to start campaigning." I said, "I won."
What do I have already?" She said, "We've got to win the midterms, and you're the guy who's going to get us through the midterms. Where's Susie?
Susie, come on, Susie. Look at Susie. Susie is the greatest." And who do we see there? We also brought our superstar today, Caroline. Stand up, Caroline.
Isn't she great? Is Caroline great? You know, when she goes on television, Fox, as I mean, she dominates. When she gets up there with that beautiful face
She dominates, and those lips that don't stop, she's scared because she's scared, why not? Because we don't have to sell men's and women's sports
We appreciate that, but they gave you the highest inflation in history. Up big, it's called your 401ks going up. But I said it the other day.
And a lot of people say, "Oh, prices are going down a lot, but they have a new word, they say, 'The election is all about affordability."
"They never talk about that now. They never talk. Thank you very much. They say I'm not allowed to run. I don't know what all this is,
But that's okay. They said four more years. You've seen the new hat. We have four more years. 2020. We have all kinds of things, okay
And you know what you have to do in two years and three months? Three years and two months is a long time. And I think they're a lot less than that,
Do we love miners? I don't know how they walk 10,000 feet underground, and if I gave them a beautiful, magnificent penthouse.
I would give it the most beautiful place. They want to go 10,000 feet underground, their salary has gone up to 3,300, but the management can't talk before the word is out. A little public relations helps.
It's a very powerful it's a very powerful fuel. It uses China. You know, China builds all our windmills, but they don't have any wind farms.
That's pretty interesting, isn't it? Wind is the worst. It's a big deal that's a scam. They ruin you, they look at the peaks of the Raynor. That and the most expensive energy.
The only ones who make a fortune are the Getrich developers. You have to replace your windmill. And most of them are made in China. But China has very few wind farms.
You know why? Because they're smart. You know what? They have a lot of coal. They love coal. So that's fine. But we've cleaned up the clean, beautiful coal.
And we've brought it back into vogue. We have nuclear. We have oil and gas. We have we don't want everything. I'm sorry, we don't like the things
That. You have, and that's great about you. Clyde preaches about public safety, and when he does that he's really the enemy because we want
That we have energy prices coming down a lot, and honestly, everything is coming down because you know what it's on the second and third list.
We don't even talk about them. You get energy prices coming down, which is the most we've ever had in our country. It's no contest. We don't want to go that fast because we want the people who make it to keep making it, but they're doing well. But, uh, it's amazing.
But when energy goes down, your other prices go down. All your prices. And that's exactly why we inherited the highest prices ever.
And we're bringing them down. We inherited the worst inflation in the history of our country. Think about it. And we're bringing them down fast. Their whole agenda is to rob working people.
So they can fund their leftist cronies and give them fantastic benefits to foreign immigrants and illegals. You can't do that. Look, we all have hearts.
We don't like what's going on. But you know when they let them in. We have a border, but they don't talk about the border.
Why don't you talk about the border now? The border. The border. The border has been closed for months. Actually, their people are because they are radical leftists. Their people.
Their people. Radical left. They classify the border and everything. You know how many people have come to the border in the last seven months? You know what it is? Zero. Zero.
