We have a new iPhone 17 Pro, and there is no Hasselblad camera on the OnePlus 15. We will compare that camera objectively in a video today.
I know there are hardware downgrades for the OnePlus 15, but they have learned from their partnership with Hasselblad over the years.
So today, we will see if that translates to the OnePlus 15. Stay tuned to the end of this video to see the results. Audio test starting with the iPhone 17 Pro.
This is a selfie video recording at 4K 30 fps. Let’s switch to the OnePlus 15. And this is an audio test and selfie video recording at 4K 30 fps on the OnePlus 15. We can switch to 8x, 1x, and 2x on the OnePlus 15.
This phone is currently holding up very well compared to the competition. Let’s take a look at a daylight photo. Starting with the ultra-wide,
We got a wider field of view on the iPhone 17 Pro and also warmer than the competition. But there may be more details on the OnePlus 15. On the main sensor, you’ll notice a huge reduction in noise on the OnePlus 15.
A bit of noise on the iPhone 17 Pro. Looking at the background, we’ve got more focus on the OnePlus 15. At telephoto, we have a 5x zoom on the iPhone 17 Pro
and only 3.5x on the OnePlus15. But I like the detail and natural look of the iPhone 17 Pro. The OnePlus 15 is a bit sharper. But if we go to the far zoom, we have a 120x crop on the OnePlus 15.
And there’s more detail in the image. Also, the contrast is better. The OnePlus 15 is a bit softer, but when looking at the face on the subject, there is no distortion on the OnePlus 15 at 2x.
Same trend. We got a lot of details on the iPhone 17 Pro. There is a bit of beautification on the OnePlus 15. And the face is also well-lit, which some people may prefer.
On Portrait Zoom. Again, there is a lot of detail on the iPhone 17 Pro, but I like the warmer white balance on the OnePlus 15. I still prefer portraits on the iPhone 17 Pro.
And on selfies, we got a wider FOV on the OnePlus 15. We also got a lot of detail on the face, and by contrast, we have the iPhone 7 brighter.
But we have the iPhone 17 Pro brighter. Both phones, the iPhone 17 Pro and the OnePlus 15, in daylight. Ultrawide starts at 4K 30fps.
So, we have 5x on the iPhone 17 Pro and 6x on the OnePlus 15. So, you’ll see that you have a wider field of view on the iPhone 17Pro.
In terms of details, I like the details on the iPhone 17 Pro. Let’s check out the autofocus and stabilization. The main sensor looks warmer on the iPhone 17, which looks more colorful.
And you look natural, a little muted on the OnePlus 15. I probably like the colors on the OnePlus 15. If you’re a nature lover, I’d go with the OnePlus 15.
But if you like saturated colors, go with the iPhone 17Pro. It’s warmer than the competition. Let’s check out the autofocus and video stabilization.
And going for Zoom, we got 4x on the iPhone 17 Pro and 3.5x on the OnePlus 15. There’s a 5x difference on both phones. And for 4x zoom, we got 24x or 24 times on the iPhone 17 Pro and 18 times on the OnePlus 15.
These are the special features of video. So, we have Cinema 4K 30fps on the iPhone 17 Pro. And we have Portrait Video or Bokeh on the OnePlus 15. It can go down to F1.4.
This is an 8K video recording on the OnePlus 15. We don’t have 8K video recording on the Phone 17 Pro. Let’s start with Night Shot on Ultra View. We got better focus and unlike the iPhone 17 Pro.
Again, it looks softer on the OnePlus 15. No aging. I feel a little bit smaller. On the main sensor, both phones are really good. The only difference is the white balance.
We got a warmer-looking iPhone 17 Pro. And in terms of exposure, it’s also slightly better on the iPhone. And at telephoto, you’ll see that you have more detail on the iPhone 17 Pro.
It also has about five times the zoom compared to the OnePlus 15. Okay, we’re starting this low-light selfie video recording at 4K 30 fps. This is the OnePlus 15.
This is what it looks like using OnePlus’ latest flagship. Now, here’s a low-light selfie video recording on the Phone 17 Pro. Slightly brighter and better exposed than the OnePlus 15.
I think I like the iPhone 17 more than the OnePlus. Now we’re testing the rear cameras on both phones. iPhone 17 Pro vs OnePlus 15. That ultrawide is both 4K 30fps
And I like the quality on the iPhone 17 Pro. I think the iPhone 17 Pro will beat the OnePlus 15 on low-light camera video recording. Checking out the main sensor again.
I like the iPhone 17 Pro. Look at the details. I also like the warmer-looking iPhone 17 compared to the cooler or cooler OnePlus 15.
Testing the noise. Noisier on the OnePlus 15, and you get a lot more detail and cleaner on the iPhone 17 Pro. Testing the 3.5x zoom on the OnePlus 15 and 4x.
So after a few days of testing the OnePlus 15 and iPhone 17 Pro, here’s our verdict. So just to summarize, for the OnePlus 15, we have great audio, a little more sharpness on selfies. We get a more detailed ultrawide.
The main sensor lacks close focus and better noise reduction. We have 120x zoom. Portrait mode is a solid 7 out of 10. I would probably give it an eight out of 10,
But yeah, 7 out of 10. And we have an 8K video recording on this phone. For the iPhone 17 Pro, we have great microphones and natural-looking selfies,
Wide field of view on the ultrawide. Overall, I like Portrait mode. It has better focus and details. We have consistent white balance across all sensors in video.
And there’s no sharper and better night shot capability and low-light video. Overall, I think the iPhone 17 Pro wins over the OnePlus 15 in terms of camera performance.
But the OnePlus 15 isn’t that bad in terms of camera performance. I've learned that it actually competes with the flagships out there because the camera is the only thing.
And the overall performance of the OnePlus 15 is really good. I saw that the shutter 17 Pro. I'll buy the OnePlus 15, but at $9.99, I'll probably wait for a discount, maybe $150 less.
I think that's it for our camera comparison video. Thanks for watching, guys. See you at the next one.
